Sleeping two people in one bedroom, this is an ideal place for couples in search for the perfect romantic break in the country town of Matlock. In the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast in the breezy summer house before taking a leisurely stroll along the scenic riverside in the village of Matlock Bath. In the evening, come home to the cottage’s pretty garden to unwind with a glass of wine.

Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by a beautiful rustic yet chic interior. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the spacious lounge before heading to the contemporary-style kitchen to whip up some dinner for your loved one. Enjoy a romantic meal as you soak up the beautiful country views from the dining table or move into the gorgeous garden to dine alfresco. After dinner, snuggle up in the lounge to watch your favourite TV shows or spend a little quality time chatting in the garden under the starry skies. A most peaceful and relaxing break at the Lower Holly Barn. Our host was most welcoming and very helpful especially with the local restaurant/pub recommendations. Very spacious cottage for two. We would recommend it as an ideal place to stay in the Matlock area.

What a lovely holiday cottage in a VERY beautiful setting. Lynda was so welcoming and the cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a few over the years!). Highly recommend.

I couldnt recommend Lower Holly Barn enough! It is an absolutely beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. There is plenty to explore close by, or great as a base to explore further afield. It is so quiet and peaceful; a perfect place to go to get away, relax and recharge. I didnt want to leave, and cant wait to go back soon!

We had a most enjoyable week at Lower Holly Barn cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very well and tastefully appointed and located in a quiet and peaceful environment. Lynda, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and was a knowledgable source of helpful information about the area.
