Travelling a bit further out, just 5 miles takes you to Haddon Hall. Famed for its stunning gardens, this medieval manor offers a great day out. Famous Chatsworth also sits 5 miles away, with woodland walks, a farm, shops, a cafe and the house itself to explore. There are many famed walks, including the Monsal Trail which can be picked up at Bakewell and offers 8.5 miles of traffic-free route for walkers, cyclists runners, wheelchairs and horses. This takes you near to Great Longstone, Little Longstone, Cressbrook Mill, Litton Mill and Tideswell Dale.
