The delicate decor and pretty wallpapers perfectly complement the property’s original style. At the heart of the home is an elegant lounge overlooking the garden, with sumptuous leather seating set around a wood burner-effect gas fire and a TV/DVD. A bright and airy kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering break, and the separate dining room has a large table to seat everyone. There are two inviting bedrooms on this floor, along with a contemporary family bathroom. Heading upstairs, a spacious twin bedroom awaits with a stylish, en-suite shower room. The historic spa town of Matlock, nestled in a scenic, limestone valley, has a network of pretty streets lined with an array of independent shops and boutiques to explore. The town also has a fantastic choice of cafes and restaurants, as does the neighbouring tourist town of Matlock Bath (2.5 miles). From Matlock Bath you can hop aboard the cable car to spend a relaxing afternoon pottering around the hilltop estate at Heights of Abraham. Further afield, day trips include Chatsworth House (8.5 miles) and the attractive market town of Bakewell (9 miles).
