Lovely, quirky property with an old fashioned/traditional feel...something we like very much. All amenities needed are there. House is very clean. Really appreciated the 'welcome' pack left for us. A good base for exploring the area. All appliances in the kitchen are electrical which leaves me wondering how safe a water fire extinguisher is....peRead morerhaps a foam or powder extinguisher would be better. However, we really enjoyed our much needed break..thank you x Owner replies: thank you for your feedback and this issue has been reviewed and dealt with. Hide

A fabulous house, well equipped if youve got small children. With stair gates, high chair and cot, and easy access straight onto the canal for walks. The house was very clean and lots of thought had been put into small touches. We will definitely be back.

This is a lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and spacious. We were delighted to find some Christmas decorations and thank you very much for the treats the owners left for us - home baked cakes, chocolate, milk, Mulled Wine and Prosecco etc. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others and hopefully come again ourselves.

This is a lovely property, well provisioned and in a great location. Cromford Mills and the canal are literally on the doorstep and it is a peaceful place to stay. We sat in the garden frequently. Easy travel access to lots of attractions.

The Amazon Firestick is a nightmare to use, and then to not use when we wanted to watch a DVD!!! The hot water is barely hot enough for running a bath! Interesting, and very large, lump of fluff and dust fell from the bottom of the kitchen radiator! The main gripe is that on the 4th morning I discovered Silverfish, both dead and very much alive, inRead more between the stack of bowls and plates that we had been using!!! On raising this with yourselves I was told that it was the Owners' responsibility and that I should contact them!!! Unbelievable!!! I had wondered the day before why I had a bit of a funny tummy, as I never get a funny tummy, and now I can most likely put it down to Silverfish urine and faeces that they had been spreading all over the crockery!!!!
