A true treasure of a holiday home, this exquisite stone cottage is situated in Tideswell, known for its delightful shops and eateries. Sleeping four guests, the beautiful little property has been carefully restored and is a wonderful base for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the beauty of the national park. From here, enjoy scenic walks across the village’s picturesque surroundings, including through the scenic Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve. Visit the splendid Chatsworth House, 10 miles away, set in magnificent grounds, also within the Peak District, and Haddon Hall, 10.5 miles away, also known for its impressive setting. Plan trips into Bakewell and Buxton, both 7.5 miles away, to shop for local produce, browse in boutiques and dine out.
Step inside to find yourselves in a beautiful lounge, with exposed stone walls, a beamed ceiling and a wood burner set into an inglenook fireplace. Colourful seating has been arranged in here so you can watch TV in comfort. There is also a utility room, with a WC. There is a study, with desk and chair, and small step up in the centre of the room towards the kitchen and dining room at the rear of the property: follow steps up though a low doorway and then take more steps up to access the galley-style kitchen, which is creatively fitted out with all the equipment you might need to prepare homecooked meals. To the rear of the house is the dining room, which has a second wood burner and an additional TV and DVD player, so members of your party can enjoy separate viewing or some quiet time with their books. There is a door on to the garden from here that can be opened up on sunny days. Both beautiful cottage bedrooms, a double and a twin, are upstairs, together with the family bathroom.
The cottage has a long, terraced courtyard garden, which is set on three levels. This delightful space offers privacy for outside dining and relaxation during warmer weather.
