For shopping and eating out, the vibrant market town of Ashbourne is just 7 miles away.

The traditional, three-storey stone property makes the perfect rural retreat, with its fabulous beamed ceilings, roaring open fire, and country-cottage decor. On the first floor, discover a welcoming lounge, where you’ll find a sumptuous sofa and a couple of armchairs to curl up in with a good book. On a winter’s evening, light the open fire and snuggle up for a movie night in front of the TV/DVD. The ground-floor kitchen/diner is equally full of charm, again featuring exposed beams and a tiled floor. The bespoke kitchen area has everything needed to rustle up delicious dinners for two, which you can share at the sweet dining table next to the warming wood burner. Completing the ground floor is a contemporary bathroom. On the top floor, an attractive king-size bedroom awaits with a vaulted ceiling and a handy en-suite WC. Outside, soak up the peace and tranquillity on the pretty patio, sharing an al fresco supper at the bistro set or sipping a glass of wine. Bike storage is available and the owners have also provided two bicycles which you are welcome to borrow. The cottage has on-street parking, subject to availability.

Journey into Ashbourne to explore its winding, cobbled streets and admire the magnificent Georgian and Tudor architecture. The town has a fantastic array of independent shops and family-owned businesses, along with many cafes, pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops. Very nice and clean on arrival lovely traditional cottage with a modern twist in the bathroom and kitchen. Loved all the antiques. Nice clean comfortable bed and the en suite loo was helpful too. A very friendly village and a visit to the Sycamore inn is a must for excellent food and beer. Plenty of public foot paths to choose from.

A lovely few days spent at Farm View Cottage. The cottage was well presented, very clean and with all we needed for our break. We had a week stay this April and can honestly say loved every minute of our stay at this cottage. It was perfect for us as a couple. It was comfortable, welcoming and had character. It was great that we could park our small car right outside the front door. We loved sitting in the small terrace garden in the morning and just listening to the birdsRead moreong and taking in the peace and quiet. The owners had thoughtfully provided plenty of walking books and maps of the peak district. Parwich is lovely and we enjoyed walking roung the village and down to the pub. Hide
