I can't speak highly enough of The Nuthatch. Easy booking, and lovely hosts who couldn't have been more accommodating. A beautiful, warm and cosy cottage which was sparkling clean and very well equipped. Well located for all the Peak District attractions, and Manchester. If we're up that way, I'd definitely choose to stay at The Nuthatch again.

lovely cosy property, down a quite lane surrounded by beautiful countryside: nice welcome gifts and basket of logs. Good walks from the door. details in welcome book. We had a short break with friends; the fact that both bedrooms had en-suite facilities and were of similar size with double beds was a great plus. Since acquiring the house and barRead morens the owners have obviously worked hard to restore and develop the site. Great location for visiting the high peak. Hide

Nuthatch was ideal for our needs. It is in a fantastic location which made the large selection of walks easy to reach. The property itself is charming and the views from the bedroom are stunning. The owners go out of their way to be helpful.

The Nuthatch cottage is in a lovely location and in easy reach of some lovely walks. We had some lovely fresh eggs from the owner's hens whilst we were there. A walk to Eccles Pike is a must. Local restaurant The Old Hall about a 20:minute walk away, youd need a torch to get back in the dark! Theres one provided at the cottage. The beds were lovelyRead more and comfy and bathrooms clean with good showers. The cottage had everything youd need for a great stay. Hide

Apart from the sofa being a little low for my arthritic knees I really can't fault Nuthatch Cottage at all. It's perfectly situated on a quiet lane with several secluded areas for family outside dinners and a cute communal courtyard. We would happily return to Nuthatch and the area

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this cottage and I now believe it should received a little update with repaires to the defects like the flooring upstairs and the showers which are difficult to maintain an even water temperature . We had a lovely stay and enjoyed ourselves very much but just a few things let the cottage down.
