Located in the picturesque Derbyshire Dales and close to the Peak District, this 18th-century cottage is made from limestone and has been lovingly converted into a welcoming holiday cottage for four guests. Perfect for a group who are keen to explore the spectacular surroundings.
You are welcomed into this cottage by the lovely, warming lounge. Fire up the wood burner, curl up on the sofa, and flick on the TV of an evening. The farmhouse-style kitchen has plenty of storage and a stainless-steel surface ideal for preparing food. In the centre of the room is a four-seater dining table where you can tuck into food together. A family shower room is also situated on the ground floor. When you are ready to get some rest and recuperation for the next day, head upstairs to the bedrooms which both boast far-reaching views of the countryside and Bradford Dale. Choose from either a double bedroom, which has an en-suite WC, or a bright and airy twin bedroom. Outside via the kitchen is an appealing garden with a large lawn area and a patio with seating for al fresco dining. Please note that the garden has a low wall and an unprotected drop. On-street parking is available outside the property.
The little village of Youlgreave (500 metres) has a couple of village shops and a few gastropubs for some good, old-fashioned, pub grub. There are several walking spots around here, too, including the scenic Stanton Moor and Nine Ladies Circle (4 miles) and the stunning Lathkill Dale and Waterfall (6 miles). Enjoy a day out at Chatsworth House (7 miles) or take the kids to Matlock Farm Park (9.5 miles).
