Ideal for couples and small families who love the great outdoors, this dog-friendly cottage offers everything you’ll need for a superb getaway, including a garden with gorgeous views and a wood burner to ward off winter chills.

Converted from a former railway building, this postcard-pretty escape is charming inside and out. Start by unloading your car onto the trolley provided and transport your luggage along the path to your front door. The living space is a lovely combination of pretty fabrics, rustic beams and a stone floor, furnished with an antique dining table at one end and comfortable seating gathered around a wood burner and a Smart TV at the other. Stroll through to the kitchen and you’ll find all the facilities necessary for holiday cooking, including a range-style cooker. A WC and utility room complete the ground floor, while upstairs you’ll find a king-size bedroom and a double room, both with glorious rural views. The two bedrooms share an elegant family shower room. The garden is a fabulous place in which to sit and relish the amazing views – perhaps greeting occasional walkers and cyclists as they go past on the trail at the front of the property. Private parking for one car is also available.

We had a wintery weekend at the cottage, it is beautifully decorated to a very high standard, clean, stunning views and was very warm with the underfloor heating despite the cold weather. We had the fire lit too which made for a cosy weekend! The welcome pack was appreciated. There were four of us + a dog and the cottage was perfect for this. ThRead moree bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and we did all of our own cooking. Great facilities for storing bikes, washing the dog etc. We made the most of the high peak trail and did plenty of walks and bike rides during our stay. We will be returning, hopefully in the warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor space (I can already imagine a glass of wine in the sun at that outdoor seating area, what a view!) Thanks so much, we loved it! Hide

Loved the cottage so comfortable & thought the PIR lights were great. Only slight downside was the 4 diggers at the back of the property on the 2 days which were very noisy. We were out most of the day but did stop you sitting /eating outside as they were so noisy. Obviously very quiet on a weekend but could have been a problem if wed wanted to be Read moreoutside. Wouldnt stop us visiting again but thought you should be aware. Hide

Lovely place in an amazing setting with beautiful views, although, the path leading to the property is part of a public footpath so be prepared for strangers passing by, more often in the summer. The house is surrounded by a low stone wall fence and a gate so is secure for small to medium size dogs. As the car park is a bit of a walk from the houseRead more, there is a trolley for your luggage which was very useful. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds, everything is high quality. Log burner adds to the calm and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much. Hide

We had a great week at this cottage. The facilities provided were great, and the garden is a perfect place to relax. The bed was extremely comfortable with the only major downside was the slow/weak wifi, however it depends on your situation whether this will bother you or not. Overall we had an amazing time, enjoying the scenic views and the local Read moretrails. Both the Knockerdown pub and The Miners Arms are great local pubs, however be mindful it is quite expensive with a simple pub meal coming to around 17. Hide
