A beautiful cottage at the centre of a Peak District village, this gorgeous retreat makes a lovely base within the national park and is in a perfect position for the shops and pubs of the village, with three goods pubs to choose from. It is just 3.5 miles from bustling Bakewell, known for its celebrated pudding. From the cottage, there are walks from the doorstep including the scenic Bradford Dale and Lathkill Dale. You are also just 3 miles from spectacular Haddon Hall, with its impressive medieval grounds, and 7 miles from Chatsworth House, where you can tour the stately home, wander the parkland and visit the beautiful gardens. The historical landmark of Arbor Low Stone Circle is also just 3.5 miles away. The Monsal Trail (6 miles) is perfect for walking and cycling, with bike hire at Hassop Station. Matlock Bath (8 miles) offers cable cars to Abraham Heights, scenic walks by the river or a more adventurous walk along High Tor.

The cottage itself has lovely original features together with beautifully renovated spaces, with stonework visible in the kitchen where the breakfast bar is situated. This is a well-equipped space, offering both a washing machine and dishwasher, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine for those morning coffees. Leading off from the kitchen, the sitting room has a wood burner and soft seating, perfect for those evenings by the fire, enjoying this cosy space. Upstairs, is a king-size bedroom, with a chair situated near the pretty feature fireplace. The luxurious bathroom has a beautiful free-standing bath and a large separate power shower. Views over the countryside give you full appreciation of your picture-perfect Derbyshire escape.
