In good weather, it’s a delight to kick back in the enclosed garden. Adults can flip burgers on the charcoal BBQ while kids and pets play safely on the large lawn.
Nearby you can wander to the pub (0.5 miles) for a drink alongside locals. When it’s time to venture further afield, pack everyone in the car and drive to popular sites like the awe-inspiring gorge at Chee Dale (8 miles), where you can stroll along the iconic stepping stones and marvel at the towering cliffs. Poole’s Cavern (12.5 miles) has incredible limestone formations. If you’re up for a rewarding climb, take a short hike to Grin Hill (5 miles) and admire the panoramic views across the High Peak – on clear days, you might even spot Mam Tor in the distance.
