Experience special time away together when you book a romantic stay at this enticing Peak District cottage. Set with other stone holiday homes on a scenic 20-acre site, the one-bedroom hideaway sleeps two guests, but welcomes dogs too. Nestled 2.5 miles from Bakewell and 10.5 miles from Buxton, it has a private courtyard garden. Guests can also enjoy a shared games room, dog exercise paddocks and a BBQ area.

Wander inside this beautifully finished cottage to find yourselves in an inviting, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, there is a wood burner, set into a gorgeous stone fireplace, for you to light on chilly autumn and winter days. Cuddle up on the sofa in front of the crackling flames to watch TV, read a book from the shelf or make plans for your next Derbyshire adventure. The kitchen offers ample space for preparing the locally sourced fresh produce you have bought on one of your trips out. Set the table for two for romantic meals in or dine out in the fresh air in your lovely courtyard. When you are ready to turn in for the night, make your way through to your welcoming bedroom, which has a dressing area. The cottage also includes a bathroom where you can pamper yourself with a long bubbly soak. Have morning coffee out in the courtyard garden on fine days. Take a stroll around the grounds before heading off on a trip out. Return to challenge each other to table tennis in the games room before grilling dinner on a BBQ. There is plenty of parking in a shared car park.

Plan days out to the stately homes of Haddon Hall, 4 miles away, and Chatsworth House, 6.5 miles away. Venture into Bakewell to potter in the shops, dine out and sample the town’s tasty pudding.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning, quiet location. Everything was perfect, and there were lots of extra touches from the welcome brownies to the dog basket. It's great to find a place that welcomes dogs. Ours loved the dog paddocks.
