Featuring exposed wooden beams, vaulted ceilings and two external seating areas, this cheerful former farm building has been thoughtfully updated to provide an ideal holiday home for walkers, hikers and nature lovers.

The ground floor of this welcoming hideaway features a light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a high-vaulted and beamed ceiling, with external doors at either end. The cosy lounge has a Smart TV and comfortable sofa, and backs onto a sweet dining area which leads over to a fully equipped, stylishly arranged kitchen. Upstairs, the relaxing king-size bedroom has an invigorating en-suite shower room. Stepping outside, the peaceful garden has plenty of outdoor furniture and a small lawn, offering a relaxing space for a morning coffee. There’s a charming central courtyard with picnic tables, perfect for open-air dining and looking out over the shared central lawn. You’re also welcome to meet some of the resident farm animals. Private off-road parking is available for one car.

Keen walkers and hikers can head into the Peak District National Park, with landmarks including Minninglow (9 miles) and Thor’s Cave (16.5 miles). To the west are popular attractions including the Peak Wildlife Park and Alton Towers (both within 17 miles), while to the north you can head to Harboro Rocks, Crich Tramway Village, The Heights of Abraham and Carsington Water, all within 11 miles. The lively market towns of Matlock, Belper and Ashbourne offer a wealth of great pubs, restaurants and shops, all within 10 miles.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Saddlery. great value for money and excellent hosts. Enjoyed seeing the animals and going for a walk with the pigs!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely small holding - just perfect for myself, partner and our 3 dogs. Are immediate "neighbours" were 3 pet pigs, horses, geese, sheep and 2 adorable alpacas. The owners of the property live in the main house a bit further down the gravel drive - not intrusive in any way but close enough should you have any queries. The Read moreowners are an amazing couple, Claire and Al and my partner and I cannot thank them enough for all the assistance and support we unexpectedly needed during our stay. Thank you both so much for your kindness Claire and Al :-) We will definitely becoming back, Hide

The owners were friendly, the accommodation was tastefully and comfortably furnished and we enjoyed feeding pigs, chickens and geese.

Super little cottage, with enclosed garden for letting the dogs out. Ideally for exploring the area. A wealth of useful information provided by the owners on walks, shopping, places to visit etc. I had a wonderful week.
