Surrounded by tranquil countryside, this idyllic rural cottage provides cosy accommodation for groups of friends and larger families seeking an elegant holiday home in a stunning part of Derbyshire. Lying along the outskirts of the picturesque village of Millthorpe on the eastern edge of the Peak District, the stylishly furnished and tastefully updated property has plenty of space for eight guests exploring the region’s quaint villages, historic sites and stunning moorlands.

Entering this bright, inviting cottage, the pretty entrance hallway leads through to the fresh and welcoming lounge which features a flame-effect electric fire, TV, comfortable seating and a small football/pool table. A few steps from the hall lead down into an airy and spacious kitchen/diner with plenty of equipment, ample storage space and a farmhouse dining table perfect for family feasts. Heading upstairs you will find a family bathroom and four relaxing bedrooms: a family room with a queen-size bed and additional single bed; a cosy bunk bedroom; a pretty single; and a super-king-size room that can be converted to a twin on request and features an en-suite shower room. From the main living area, patio doors lead to the large garden which has plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ alongside an extensive lawn, providing a charming space for you to unwind and take in the beautiful views. Private, off-road parking is available for three cars.

The farmhouse is ideally placed for exploring the eastern edge of the Peak District, with the popular market town of Bakewell (9.5 miles) offering some friendly places to eat and drink. A great base for nature spotters, walkers and history buffs, there’s a wealth of popular attractions and historic sites nearby, including Haddon Hall, the Chatsworth Estate, The Heights of Abraham, Eyam Museum, Padley Gorge, and Blacka Moor Nature Reserve, all within 15 miles.
