Perfect for discovering the south-eastern corner of the Peak District, this elegantly furnished hideaway lies within easy reach of many of the region's historic sites, tranquil landscapes and more challenging walking trails. You enter the property through the lovely light-filled conservatory, which provides a snug space to unwind in peace, and which leads through to the beautifully organised and fully equipped kitchen/diner with a central farmhouse dining table perfect for family get-togethers. The quiet lounge has plush seating, a Smart TV and a glowing wood burner, ideal for a quiet night in. Upstairs, you will have a choice between two light and relaxing bedrooms, each with pretty views: there's a calming king-size room and a cheerful double. The property also features a sleek and refreshing bathroom. Stepping outside, the charming south-facing patio garden has lavender borders, with comfortable seating, making an ideal spot for a BBQ or a peaceful drink in the evening. Off-road parking is available for one car.

Baslow is ideal for exploring the Dark Peak area, with Curbar Edge just 2 miles to the north. Chatsworth House and its stunning estate are to the south (the House 2.5 miles away), with the vibrant pudding-making town of Bakewell to the south-west (4.5 miles). The area has a wealth of popular attractions and landmarks, including Haddon Hall, the Heights of Abraham, Monsal Dale and Eyam Museum, all within 11 miles.

A lovely property, one of the best we have stayed in during our many years of renting holiday homes in the UK. The property is very tastefully presented and very well equipped. Glad the property is tucked away in the depth of the village, it made for a peaceful stay. An added bonus, the neighbours were delightful, a very friendly and helpful coupRead morele. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hall Cottage. It was warm, clean, and extremely well equipped - all the little extras I had brought because theyre often not supplied I could take home again. It felt like a home rather than a holiday cottage. Brilliant location, a good starting point for walks, and shops and pubs in the village were a bonus too.
