This is a compact little cottage with 2 welcoming bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms. A well equipped kitchen with dining table is the heart of the home. The living room is small with a cuddle chair and sofa but is comfortable and welcoming. A good outside space with a private hot tub area for relaxing after a busy day. A very short walk into thRead moree heart of Bakewell. The only drawback is the vehicle access up a very narrow driveway from a narrow lane which was certainly a challenge for our Discovery with about 1 inch clearance on each side! Not for the faint hearted or nervous driver. There's lots of lovely places to visit near by like Leek, Buxton, lady Bower reservoir and Rudyard Lake perfect for dog walks. I would certainly recommend this cottage and the owners ensure guests are greeted with milk, bread, tea, coffee etc Hide

The cottage was fabulous. Tastefully decorated and very well equipped. A welcoming feeling as soon as you enter. It's location is perfect a very short stroll from the beautiful town of bakewell seriously it could not be situated any better. Plus even with it's close proximity to the town it is set back along a quiet lane so very peaceful throughoutRead more your stay. The gardens both front and back are a lovely space both having furniture to sit on. The hot tub is lovely and the way it is set under cover beautifully lit up at night is just perfect and makes it usable whatever the weather. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped & the living room is comfortable and cozy. Lovely bedrooms upstairs Tastefully decorated letting in plenty of light. We did have an issue with the hot tub. The owners were easily contactable, came and fixed it in record time and had it filled with hot water and ready for use superb service. If we were being picky then for us the beds only being double did feel small as we're used to king size but that's just a personal choice. The bedrooms could do with a small unit to put toiletries etc on there's hanging space with draws but nowhere personal items jewellery purfume etc. There is a covered area at back door with a gate to garden area. Whilst the garden is renovated beautifully the area leading to it could do with a spruce up. Some attention to the floor etc as you have to pass through after using the hot tub. If it was given a bit of tlc, it would be a great area to dry off before entering the cottage. We we're blessed with lovely weather so felt the addition of a bbq would be a great idea, Bakewell has a lovely local Butchers and it would have been great to been able to bbq the produce we bought. Overall we had a fantastic stay & fell in love with Bakewell and the cottage. We highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting and can't wait to return. Don't hesitate book the cottage you won't regret it. Hide
