Treat yourself to a special break close to the southern fringes of the Peak District. This delightful cottage at Brassington sleeps up to four guests and includes a private hot tub where everyone can bubble under the stars after walking in the Derbyshire hills. Bring a pair of contented canines with you to the two-bedroom, stone cottage if you wish.

 

Make your way into the pretty cottage via the porch to find inviting accommodation that blends the character of the past with contemporary comfort. Discover the welcoming lounge, with its beamed ceiling and flagstone floor, where you can fire up the wood burner and enjoy a good film on TV together after a day out exploring. Find the country kitchen is the perfect place to whip up tasty meals with delicious local Peak District produce sourced on your expeditions out. Dine together at the table or out in the courtyard garden on warm summer days. Make your way up to the first floor as evening falls to lay your head in either the double or the twin bedroom. A family shower room is at this level too. Bubble in the hot tub as often as you choose, with a glass of chilled wine close by; sit out at the table in front of the cottage to enjoy your morning coffee. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in an outhouse. Parking is on the street on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Walk approximately 1 mile from the cottage to reach the edge of the magnificent Peak District, with its many footpaths and walking routes. Drive 5 miles to Tissington to follow a scenic 8.5-mile route through the national park, taking in the famous stepping stones in Dovedale. Step straight out from home to walk 1.5 miles to Carsington Water.

Lovely cozy cottage near some great places to explore. Well equipped and comfortable with amazing water pressure in the shower. The added bonus of a hot tub was great after a day walking the peaks. The village is very small, friendly and lovely and quiet. The nearest supermarket was only about 15 minute drive away. It was quite a treat to havRead moree Alpaca quilts on the beds! Cosy cottage in a lovely location. Very well equipped property and external Landry room helped. After lovely walks and a dip in the hot tub we then relaxed in front of the log burner. Thanks.

How lucky we were to find this little gem of a cottage. The cottage was decorated beautifully with all mod cons. Hot tub was tested daily and a wonderful way to relax after exploring the peaks by day. We also did the alpaca walk, which the family really enjoyed. All in all, a wonderful little staycation.

Cottage was lovely and well equipped if a little snug, and only 1 toilet in the property which wasn't ideal for 2 couples, but a fabulous location, Brassington is an idyllic village and sooo friendly, we loved it!

We loved our stay at Jacks cottage, it was clean, spacious and well equipped for four adults. Hot tub is a lovely addition and the village itself is delightful - we particularly loved The Old Gate Inn pub nearby.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. The space worked really well for us - 2 adults, 2 kids. Good local walks. Excellent local pub. All rounded off with a dip in the hot tub. Thank you!
