Enjoy a fun-filled family escape set within 400 acres of pristine farmland in the heart of the Peak District. Make friends with the farm’s alpacas, soak in the sumptuous hot tub and enjoy the rustic charm of this stone-built retreat.

Enter the covered entrance porch, kick off your muddy boots and enter this welcoming home. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the sociable hub of the home with charming original features including wooden beams overhead and exposed stone walls. Abundant comfortable seating beckons you to unwind, and a captivating feature window highlights the property's long history. There’s also a utility room for your convenience. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms, one boasting a king-sized bed and a sofa bed, accommodating up to three guests. This spacious room offers a serene ambience with walls adorned with dragonfly motifs. The second bedroom has two generously sized single beds, and the family shower room completes this floor. Outside, a courtyard with rattan furniture invites you to bask in the tranquillity of the surroundings. A bubbling hot tub beckons, ready to soothe weary muscles after a day of exploration. For the young and young-at-heart, a trampoline and slide provide playful diversions.

Engage in the fun-filled activities that the farm offers, from tending to newborn lambs and playful calves to mingling with alpacas, hens, ducks, geese, and a menagerie of feline and canine companions. The farm also boasts a restaurant, playground, shops, bird hides, tractor rides and an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways. Venture on the footpath leading to Carsington Water, where waterside strolls and activities such as windsurfing, canoeing, and fishing await. Should you prefer solid ground, try the exhilarating 8-mile mountain bike course. Take a jaunt to the local pub in Brassington (1.5 miles), accessible on foot through the picturesque farmland, or explore the charming towns and villages of Cromford, Matlock Bath, Bakewell, and Buxton, all within 20 miles of home.

Lovely cottage to relax for a weekend away, we had a great time and enjoyed the hot tub. Great walk from the cottage down to Carsington Water through the fields, walking notes in the cottage and owners were really helpful in showing us where to go and took us to meet the Alpacas and Goats who were very friendly
