Head to Foremark Reservoir (12.5 miles), a 230-acre nature reserve ideal for walking, fishing and sailing. You can also try your hand at windsurfing or stand-up paddleboarding. If you’re real adrenaline seekers, spend a day at the magical Alton Towers (12 miles).
