Numerous scenic ambles, rambles, hikes and walks surround the village, with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south, and Miller’s Dale, with its far-reaching views, just 4 miles away. Mam Tor and Castleton are both within 11 miles, while the popular towns of Buxton and Bakewell (you must try the latter’s famous Pudding) are both 8 miles away.
