I had a wonderful stay at the Gardener's Rest. The cottage is set in a beautiful, peaceful location, with lovely views across the valley right from the bed. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, yet had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped and had far more than the usual essentials. Communication with theRead more host was easy, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would happily return if I'm ever back in the area. Highly recommended! Hide

Recently had a long weekend at Gardeners Rest. It's in a brilliant location, close enough to amenities but far enough that you're surrounded by peace and quiet. The accommodation is lovely and clean with everything you need. Perfect if (like us) have a dog and want to explore the Monsal trail and have a bite to eat in Bakewell. 5*!!

Found the cottage a little difficult to find when we arrived but it was clean well presented, they accept two dogs I would not recommend large breed dogs as there is not much room for two large dogs. Location is quiet which was lovely and the views were great.

Lovely quiet situation with great open views. Well equipped and comfy bed. Great area for walking. -ve. Guests have no control over heating. Sitting -out area is squashed between wheelie-bins, high wall and car, so no view. Really tiny bathroom sink.
