Featuring thoughtful, chic design touches throughout, this spacious cottage sleeps 12 people over six bedrooms. After a fabulous day exploring the national park, come home and make your way up a couple of steps to the sleek and stylish kitchen. The chef in your group will find everything they need to rustle up a culinary masterpiece. Get everyone together around the dining table under the beautiful chandelier in the living/dining room. After dinner, head out to the small courtyard with a glass of wine; slip onto the sofa in the living area and catch up on your favourite TV shows; challenge your friends to a table football tournament in the games room; or make your way to one of the local pubs for a pint. At the end of the day, there’s one bedroom on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms with low beams on the second floor (accessed via their own individual staircases) to choose from.

Grab your hiking boots and spend an invigorating day exploring the Roaches (6 miles). Together with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks, this gorgeous area forms a gritstone escarpment that’s been worn into fantastic shapes by the elements. Alternatively, hit the water at Carsington Water (19 miles), where you can try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing or powerboating.

A very enjoyable stay in a delightful historic building. When the sun is out the view from the upstairs windows is lovely. We had 5 cars and parking was never a problem. The dining and sitting area is well laid out, and the kitchen is large and well-equipped. The bedrooms are all comfortable and good sizes (although the doors to the en suites in Read morethe two top bedrooms are extremely low). Hide

I would highly recommend this accommodation, 12 of us went and stayed for 2 nights, it was really clean, well equipped and the hot tub was an added bonus.. It was great that there was 6 bedrooms, 5 with en suite and then the 6th bedroom was facilitated by the main bathroom, I looked for a while to find this as not many properties of this size can aRead moreccommodate a bathroom each. We chose The Horseshoe Inn as the destination for our family reunion over New Year - 8 adults and 4 kids (2,3,4,5). There was plenty of space for us all and the hottub was a particular hit. The 2 top floor bedrooms are best suited to small people due to the very low doorways between the bedroom and ensuite. The ground floor bedroom was perfect for Read moreour older family members. Horseshoe Inn was fantastic for a large group and in a perfect location for walking, sightseeing, and visiting local towns such as Buxton. We enjoyed our 3 nights at Horseshoe Inn. There wasn't anything to complain about. There were 10 of us. Plenty of room and space for everyone. .The jam, marmalade and biscuits went down well.

The house in Longnor is perfect for 6 couples, all the bedrooms have their own bathroom. The location has everything you need within walking distance, a pub serving delicious meals, an excellent fish & chip shop and a cafe literally next door. There isn't much outdoor space, enough to fit a small hot tub and 2 benches. However, you will have lovelyRead more walks on your doorstep. Absolutely wonderful for our group of walkers. Great accommodation, and perfectly located in stunning scenery. Two minutes walk from a great pub was the icing on the cake. A warning to other walkers. Chrome Hill should not be tackled lightly. The climb was tough and the descent positively scary! But the views from the top were worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Horseshoe Inn. There was a group of 11 of us and we couldn't fault it. The cottage accommodates for everyone and everything. Whilst being modern and luxurious, it also has its vintage touch and it is simply beautiful. We will be back!

Our third stay at the Horseshoe Inn in Longnor. Excellent venue situated in the centre of the village. Ideal for all local amenities and walking in the area suits all ages. Excellent meal at the local pub (Cheshire Cheese) and the Fish and Chip Shop is good too.

This cottage was perfect for our group of 12. The shared areas were comfortable and well equiped with plenty of seating and space. The kitchen was excellent for the numbers with two ovens in a beautifully kept and designed space. We had awful weather over the weekend but it was close enough to Buxton for some of the less intrepid walkers to have a Read morenice relaxing day. We will certainly return to the cottage as there are plenty of walking routes from Longnor. The shop was a bonus as well. Hide

For a group of 11 of us, this house was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone if own space wanted but also to be together when wanted. Perfect location, we walked from the house a few times. Horseshoe Inn is a high quality property with excellent fixtures and fittings. It worked really well for our large family gathering over Christmas, being spacious but cosy, with a large kitchen. However, the downstairs bedroom, which seems ideal for people with more limited mobility, has a shower over the high sided bath and does not have grab railRead mores. We had a lovely holiday at this property in Longnor. Close to Buxton, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. Also walks locally. A good local shop and tasty food from fish and chip shop and pub(ye olde Cheshire Cheese)
