Walks from the village include Tideswell Dale (1 mile), while the impressive Monsalhead Viaduct is 4.4 miles away. For adventures further afield, drive 5 miles to the ‘plague village’ of Eyam, or 10 miles to the grandeur of Chatsworth House – from there it’s another 5 miles to Bakewell, birthplace of the famous pudding. Victorian Buxton with its wonderfully restored Opera House and immaculate Pavilion Gardens is just 7.5 miles away.
