Explore the steep dales and limestone plateaus at Castleton (9.5 miles) in the White Peak or for the more daring amongst you, head underground into the area’s showcaves. Remember that all adventurers need ‘rest days’, so wander the cobbled streets of the historic ‘Capital of the Peak’, Chapel-en-le-Frith (3 miles), or venture to Georgian thermal spa town Buxton (7.5 miles) for a glass of spring water.
