Beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Parking is a bit tight for a large car & you need expert reversing skills!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There were only two of us so we had plenty of room. Internet was effective. We had no problems cooking. Good shower.

Clean, kitchen well equipped, no kitchen cupboard essentials, make sure you take everything you need to cook with. Poor heating

The cottage is in a great location. It appeared clean and was equipped with everything we needed. However we were shocked when we stripped the bed at the end of our stay and found quite a few what appeared to be blood stains on the quilt. Hence the low score for cleanliness.

No heating in the property whatsoever and this has clearly been an ongoing issue since a review in march 2024 such a shame as storage heaters are clearly condemned and no fuse in switch board or plugs for heaters so clearly intentional would not recommend this property

There was alot to be desired in this cottage. A total update of furniture and makeover could possibly bring this cottage to an acceptable level for letting. In it's current state I couldn't recommend

Lovely quirky and quaint cottage beautifully situated for walking. Very clean and comfortable and located right within the village. Highly recommend if you want a smaller, historic stay. Really enjoyed our time here and will definitely come again.

Lovely location with walks right from the back yard. Upside down layout with beds downstairs and small open plan lounge / diner / kitchen above. (Was just about adequate for 2 adults and a teenager), 2 local pubs and shops within yards of the front door. Window frames rotten and require replacing.

Lovely compact cottage in a great location. Well equipped and comfortable for two/ three people. Handy field next to cottage for our dog and straight onto beautiful walking. Hartington is a beautiful village with all the amenities you need. Great pub, Derbyshire arms.

This cosy cottage is in a great location in the centre of the village and only 2 mins walk from the fantastic The Devonshire Arms. Book ahead as its very small so usually the dining room is fully reserved. As others have said the cottage is compact so only really suitable for a couple or 2 adults & 1 child. Whilst there are plenty of kitchen utensiRead morels and foil and cling film there is absolutely nothing else so you will need to bring salt & pepper, hair dryers etc (Shame they cant provide these) Hide

For us, the beds were too soft, but otherwise, we were perfectly comfortable. Considering no towels provided , and we have to strip the beds , empty the bins etc the price is too expensive. Otherwise, I love the location and the cottage is beautiful, very cosy and we have all we need . Its my second time there because I love the location and the house .
