Great base for exploring Peak District. Stairs are a little awkward especially if you need to get up in the night to visit the downstairs bathroom. Make sure you get essential provisions beforehand as not provided by owner and shops in village tend to shut at 5.30pm

The cottage was cozy and well situated - we enjoyed beautiful walks and the nearby village amenities. The owners were helpful and allowed us to park our car on the drive early, which was useful given the limited parking in the village. However, our stay was marred by repeated visits from the owners to move furniture in and out of the attached garagRead moree. While we understood occasional access to the garage, this prevented us from relaxing as felt intrusive. We will not book this cottage again. Hide

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring all of the major sites in the Peak District. Quiet and peaceful but with local shops, pub and places to eat (dog friendly) in the village. Walks from the front door and village plus Bakewell, Buxton, Chatsworth and Matlock within 30 mins by car.

Beautiful cottage, located in a lovely area. The local pub (which is less than a 5 minute walk) is defiantly worth a visit. It does get busy very quickly so book a table in advance! A clean comfortable cottage which is smaller than the photos would indicate. Good location in a lovely village with a nice sitting out area overlooking the church. Cosy cottage, comfortable rooms, but a lot smaller than photos on website suggest though. Parking in front of garage for small car only. No dishwasher or freezer which was misleading. Lovely cottage for a getaway, overlooking the Church and High Street. Great little cottage. Marvellous location especially if you take a dog. Numerous footpaths literally on your doorstep. Not far from places to visit and a good pub just down the road.
