Lovely well equipped accommodation with very cosy underfloor heating. Situated in a convenient area for visiting many interesting places and near to the excellent Tiger pub and restaurant which we visited on several occasions! The owners who live next to the cottage are extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Whilst the owners were very friendly and helpful, the cottage is actually a garage extension and the only outside space is a bench that overlooks the tarmac drive to the owners house which is right next to the cottage. Theres nowhere outside to sit and/or eat with any views or privacy. The inside is pleasant and fine for a couple but was very grubbRead morey and needs a deep clean. There was no welcome pack (which is usual) and no soap. The cottage is in a good location for visiting local places. Hide

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! The owners were lovely, very welcoming and were there in case we needed anything (which we didn't as it was so well equipped!) but they also respected our privacy. The place was spotless and even more spacious than it appeared in the photos. The bed was so comfortable, as was the living room area. We can'Read moret recommend this place highly enough! Surrounded by breathtaking views, it was the perfect base for our getaway. We can't wait to come back soon! :) Hide

The owners are really welcoming. We enjoyed our stay, the location was great for the places we wanted to visit. The availability of an EV charger was a bonus. The view from the garden is fabulous. It is a short walk to The Tiger pub where we had some really nice food. Would definitely book again if we are visiting that way again.

Not far from a busy road, so always traffic noise, does get quieter in the evening. Parking on site right in front of property. Nice pub 100 yards away that serves great food. Garden surrounds house so didn't sit out as overlooked, also noise from traffic. Facilities good, bed very comfortable. Lots of useful info provided by owners.

The Carriage House is perfectly situated in the Amber Valley. Very roomy and comfortable for a couple. There is a pub 100 yards up the road that overlooks the most beautiful Valley. Food is reasonably priced pub grub and there is a great pie night on Thursdays. Dina (sorry if misspelled) is a warm , friendly and funny host and lives next door if yoRead moreu need anything. Very well priced and certainly more affordable than Peak District hot spots which are just a drive away. Hide
