This is a lovely cottage, albeit on quite a loud road with fairly fast moving traffic. The garden suffers a little from the noise as a result, however over the weekend was a little quieter. The sofas and beds are comfy, the heating system is efficient, and the kitchen facilities are good. Loved the old school CD player and CD collection! UnfortunatRead moreely the shower stopped working for us on day 2, and despite a visit from the owner to fix it the shower remained ice cold for the rest of our stay. Cleanliness could have been better, with plates and cutlery needing washing up before use, and there were no dishwasher tablets provided, however we picked some up in the local shop easily enough. Some nice walks nearby and the pub and bakery down the road are both great. Bring your own salt. Hide

Cottage was a good location for exploring the area. Kitchen was well equipped. Local pub (The Black Swan) was friendly, and good value, nice pizza! Though people with mobility issues may struggle due to the steep slope down to the heart of the village.

Lovely homely cottage in a great location for the village of Crich and exploring the National Park. Small enclosed garden ideal for our little dog. All that you need is in the village - local shop for essentials, pub, bakers and butcher. Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop. (Fish and chips was terrible - maybe we were just unlucky!)
