Venturing further afield, travel 6.5 miles north to Matlock and Matlock Bath where you can take the cable car to the Heights of Abraham attraction on top of Masson Hill, explore the Derwent Valley, visit Gulliver’s Kingdom or make the most of the town’s shops and eateries. You can also explore the southern Peak District from here, where limestone plateaus and ravines make up the White Peak. Popular with visitors, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are within 16 miles.
