Cottage was lovely, pictures definitely do not do this property justice! Very surprised on arrival of the size of property, much more spacious than I anticipated. Property was fresh and clean, warmed for our arrival and small touch details added. All facilities that are needed are provided, including shower toiletries, hairdryer, towels etc. there Read morewas even underfloor heating which was a treat! The cottage is very well kept and in an ideal location The second smaller bedroom is down 2 steps as you open the door, the very comfortable double bed almost fills the room. Shower also has quite a steep step down. We had a lovely time in carriage cottage. It was near to shops ,parking was ok , comfortable beds and lounge furniture. Kitchen needs updating also the curtains down stairs are old and dusty.

Great location for walking into Bakewell easily with lots of cafes and pubs. Also easily located for A6 to explore rest of the Peak District. Car parking is very tight particularly if big cars parked in next door space and behind the antique store. Can also be very noisy with passing traffic and people. Wow what a beautiful cottage in a great central location. We were blown away by the large lounge with beautiful fire place and it was the perfect location to relax. The milk and drinks were a welcomed suprise on our arrival too. The courtyard was a lovely spot to enjoy a drink in the sunshine too. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the Peak District and just a few minutes walk from the town centre. It has its own parking space and everything you could need to make it a home from home. The cottage is in a good location close to the centre of Bakewell. The living accommodation was a good size with a well equipped kitchen. The second bedroom is small and lacks storage, it was a squeeze for a couple, and would work better as a single room. Overall the cottage needs some TLC as it looks tired in places but it was clean.

The cottage is well located within the town and provides everything you need for your stay. A welcome basket for a cuppa was well received.. It has parking but can be a bit tight for a larger vehicle.

This is a lovely cottage; warm and cosy, spotlessly clean, well equipped and furnished and full of character but with all modern comforts. The location is perfect both for shopping and walking from the door and we didn't fine the car parking a problem (would recommend reversing in) although we do have a big car. The cottage was rather tired looking, especially the lounge, hall and parts of the kitchen. the dining area was fine. The glazed material over most of the windows to give some privacy was okay but it did tend to make the cottage gloomy. Apart from the wall lights which had to all be on at once plus the central light in the ceiling there wasn't a taRead moreble light for reading. Lovely walks around Bakewell, walking up to join the Monsal trail to Hassop Station, Thornbridge Hall and Monsal Head lovely. Hide

Really comfortable stay, perfect location just a stones throw from all the shops, pubs and restaurants. The parking space is really tight and I doubt whether a large SUV would make it but it was great for us!

Cottage is in the center of the town and close to all amenities . The cottage only has parking for one car . Second car had to park over 20 mins away . Cottage could do with more kitchen ware. Not enough glasses .. The cottage was very clean and had a lovely courtyard

This cottage is in a fantastic location and comes with parking which may be tight with a big car. Nice and cosy, the main bedroom is large with big comfy bed. Good heating system if you are chilly. Very centrally situated in Bakewell, and parking for one vehicle ideal. Property would be better suited for a family with children rather than 4 adults as required by ourselves. Limited space in 2nd bedroom. Secure patio area but NO grassed area for the dog.
