A spacious farmhouse style property, complete with oak beams and local chickens, nestled amidst the rugged natural beauty of the Peak District. A private air strip ensures that guests can arrive in style.

Located on the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park this is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions the area has to offer and has easy motorway access.

Recently converted this stone built cottage provides very comfortable and spacious contemporary style accommodation.The accommodation is accessed from a private gated drive with lawns to one side and some local chickens up to the rear of the property which has oak features that have been sympathetically used throughout the cottage. Entry to the property is from the patio which is south facing and enjoys the sun throughout the day into the very good sized lounge that has stone flag floors adding to the room’s character.

An open archway way leads through to the fully equipped oak finished kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay and there is a farmhouse style table with comfortable sitting and dining. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with toilet and hand basin. The stairs lead to the first floor in the eaves of the cottage the sloping ceilings adding to the character of the rooms the main bedroom has a double bed the second has two single beds. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle toilet and hand basin. The lawned garden area is secure and very spacious. The owners are able to offer the facility of the use of their own private airstrip this will only be by separate arrangement direct with the owner. 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage in lovely location. Garden lovely and fully enclosed so able to let dogs roam, which they loved. Property very clean and fairly well equipped. In good location for seeing peak district.

Excellent welcome from the host, nicely layed out cottage, decent amount of space in kitchen and lounge. good bedrooms. location close to Sheffield and Chesterfield, off main tourist area so good. well equipped kitchen.

The cottage could have done with some extra cookware (baking sheets, microwavable pans etc) but other than that it was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. Would definitely visit again.
