Located on the South West fringe of one of England's finest National Park's, the property offers the ideal position for exploring the finest that the Peak District has to offer. For rail enthusiasts, the nearby Churnet Valley steam railway is a great day trip, and for those green fingered guests, the nearby English gardens of Biddulph Grange and Consall Hall are a haven for flora and wildlife. Exploring the countryside is a must when staying at the cottage, and the extensive canal network and National Trust Houses are sure to impress.

Approached down a quiet country lane and along a private drive between two fish ponds, the beautiful cottage emerges from the countryside as a rural idyll. The property embraces open-plan living, making the most of the far reaching views of the undulating hills that are visible throughout the property. The open-plan reception area branches off from a hallway which has one step down and boasts exposed beams and oak floors, giving the property a real sense of character. The vaulted beam ceiling and woodburner are striking features in the property adding height and warmth to the open space. Leading off the hallway, the bedroom offers a king-size bed and en-suite, complete with whirlpool bath, separate shower, WC and wash basin.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet country setting, overlooking rolling hills with a multitude of bird life feeding at the edge of the patio. Terry has dug out his own fishing lake and stocked it with beautifully conditioned fish, carp to 18lbs, roach, rudd and even golden orfe.

Well worth the visit we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming, nice and warm didn't need the log burner during our stay, the owners live in the farmhouse next door and are there if you need them. Excellent spot if you enjoy fishing with a well stocked lake, ducks are real funny and will follow you around. The cottage is right in the countryside but good directions were provided and we found it without problems. Dont rely just on sat nav. The cottage was renovated from milking sheds and Terry and Norah have done a beautiful job. There is a wood burner which would be ideal on wintry days. There is lots of space and a lovely big en suite bathroom. The Read moresmall conservatory was lovely in the mornings. There is good fishing and friendly ducks. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wishing to visit the area. We were welcomed by Terry who showed us round the property and were always around if needed. Homemade scones, jam and milk on arrival too. There was an information booklet in property which was so helpful.

We were looking for a 'Get Away From It All' holiday and that is exactly what we got. The cottage is absolutely stunning, situated on a farm. Log burner in the lounge was wonderful and so easy to use. Kitchen had everything you need to make a wonderful meal. Cottage has been renovated to an unbelievable standard. We will definitely return.

Comfy, cosy and clean cottage. Log burner was lit for our arrival. Milk in the fridge and some home made mince pies ready and waiting too. Lovely welcome and we enjoyed a very relaxed Christmas break in beautiful countryside.

We chose Allmore Cottage because we like to take our two dogs with us and therefore our search is always for a quiet haven with plenty of good walking. This could not have been more perfect for us - the cottage was better equipped and comfortably furnished than any we had ever visited in the past. The cottage was in ideal location for us, far enough away from busy roads etc, but easy driving distance to shops and places of interest....we have booked again for next year
