The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn. Just a short drive away will take you to the nearby picturesque market town of Bakewell which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a fantastic place for meandering through the various shops, cafes and restaurants.

Take a flight of steps from the parking area to the front door. The quirky upside-down accommodation means on the ground floor you will find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and patio doors leading to the courtyard garden. There is a second bedroom with custom-made bunk beds, meaning it’s a comfortable space for adults and children alike. The ground floor bathroom offers a shower over bath and WC. Head upstairs to the cosy lounge/diner, the ideal space to curl up with a good book or wind down with something on the TV after a day exploring the area. The nearby dining table is a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a meal with good company. Heading through to the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal during your stay, including electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

The split-level garden offers two lovely spaces to sit and enjoy the fresh air. There is a private courtyard area with seating, hidden under a pergola and surrounded by wonderful plants and flowers, the sound of the nearby water feature is bound to relax you. Head down a flight of stairs to find a second seating area which is great in the morning sun. There is an allocated parking space for one car.
