A wonderful stay. The cottage was beautifully furnished with everything carefully thought through to provide a relaxing stay. The fresh goodies in the fridge and welcome tray on arrival were a lovely touch.( The cake was amazing!) This cottage was exactly what the photos on the website promissed. Good location close to the Peak Districts activities and close to the roads leading to Sheffield, Hallifax and Machester. The owners are really nice people who welcomed us with a really delicous cake, fruit, apple juice and bread. We had a lovely stay, it was our honeymoon & it was so needed after a busy wedding day. The cottage was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The views were stunning and the pub down the road (the peacock at Barlow) had amazing views and great food!

An absolutely beautiful conversion, with everything that you need. Its actually bigger than it looks in the photos, and just as well done up.. The location is gorgeous and so quiet - as we arrived the only sound we could hear were the skylarks, which was wonderful. Fully agree with most other reviews here, the property is very well appointed. The owner has thought of virtually everything you may want during your stay. As others have said, the welcome treats of cake, milk, eggs, jam, etc were much appreciated and were a nice touch. The cottage was really lovely. Just what we needed for a nice, quiet, relaxing break! You do need to drive as it is a little bit out in the sticks but it isn't too far from Chatsworth, Baslow and Bakewell. Poor arrival process. The post code takes you to the wrong then unable to find the cottage using the road name as Holiday Cottages markets the property using the wrong name. Friendly locals but they couldn't help find something that doesn't exist! No contact number for the owners so unable to call for help.
