A delightful picturesque property offering guests an intimate rural retreat in a lovely quiet village with easy access to the whole of the Peak District. Exposed beams give this property a real sense of character.

This detached barn set in the owners' grounds provides comfortable character beamed contemporary style accommodation.  Located in a quiet village there is easy access into the heart of the Peak District National Park.  There are numerous walks from the doorstep and Carsington Water, with lots of activities such as cycling and watersports on offer.  Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are all a short drive away, as are pretty towns and villages such as Matlock Bath, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton, all of which boast an array of shops and restaurants.

The interior of the cottage perfectly matches the beautiful exterior. A large glazed door leads into the spacious lounge and open-plan kitchen with gorgeous stone flagged floors. The kitchen-dining area contains all the essentials that guests will need during their stay.  Relax on the comfy corner sofa infront of the TV in this welcoming space.

Upstairs, the bedroom is surprisingly large given the cosy cottage feel of the barn. A great position to tackle cycle and walking trails. Friendly owners and a lovely pad. Ashbourne nearby is a lovely place which would bear further investigation. Particularly recommend the bread shop which does REAL French baguettes and the Deli which does great coffee and REAL croissants! The converted barn is a wonderful place to return to after Read morea day out, especially the roomy space upstairs. Bradbourne itself is intriguing, being a doubly thankful village, but well leave you to discover why! Hide

We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely barn conversion. It was warm and cosy and felt like a home from home. The perfect base for our stay in the Peak District.

A very comfortable, clean barn. Just right for feeling safe in these COVID restricted times. We were able to have a quiet walk in the countryside. Very little traffic on the roads nearby. Will certainly book it again in the near future.

Barn was very spacious and comfortable. NB no dishwasher or washing machine if you need it. Coffee machine took a while to work out - manual is in very back of information book - took me a while to find it! Good WiFi. Very quiet and pretty good blackout blinds. Very good Indian in Ashbourne: Anayas. We would happily stay again.

Well converted barn. 2 large rooms, one up (with separate shower room) and one downstairs, with kitchen area along one side. Comfortable and well appointed. Sun in evening on front of barn and outdoor table and chairs great for evening drinks
