Ideally positioned for enjoying the best of the Peak District, this charming property is a great base for cyclists and walkers looking to make the most of the nearby trails of Tissington, Manifold and Monsal.

An ideal base from which to explore many of the attractions of the Peak National Park enjoying some outstanding scenery across the Dove Valley with views down to Hartington.

These barns are conveniently placed to access the Tissingon Manifold and the Mondasl Trails along numbered cycle routes. Fishing also available nearby on the Dove by separate arrangement.

You enter the gable cottage from the lawned front garden area into the warm and inviting pitch pine beamed lounge with maple wooden floors and the log burning stove inset in the fireplace. The lounge opens through to the well equipped planned and fitted kitchen dining area with further beams wonderful views down the valley towards Hartington and a further rear door onto the rear lawned garden. The stairs lead to the bedrooms one with two single beds and its own vanity unit and hand basin the main bedroom having an imposing double four poster bed and feature king post truss. The bathroom consists of a bath hand basin toilet and shower.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A very very beautiful location. I booked both cottages here for members of family. Would have loved to return one day. Sadly will not be. Routine care and effort required. Holiday Cottages behaved well in dealing with issues after the event.

This cottage is in a wonderful location. However the cottage felt less a four star accommodation and more a three star. Whilst been adequate it didn't have those final touches that made me and my family feel very welcome.

Remote location was lovely with a 30min walk to Hartington. Great opportunity for bird watchers/photographers. We had many walks from the cottage (note track leading up to cottage a bit rough). Cottage advertised as dog friendly but on Thursday the owners dog came up to our dog, which was on a lead in the garden, she barked and the dog attacked ourRead more dog which was frightening - the owner said that the rescue centre told them to keep it away from small dogs !! Great location. Beautiful countryside. If you want to escape and be completely off line this is the place to go to. Able to walk from the cottage every day up and down the dove dale. Good pubs in Harrington.
