Make your way to the stylish open-plan kitchen/diner, pour yourself a glass of wine and cook up a feast for your loved ones. Host dinner around the dining table, which is surrounded by glass windows that capture the incredible views. Alternatively, head out to the garden, fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, take your pick of two gorgeous lounges. Put your feet up in front of the TV in one, or stretch out in front of the wood burner in the other. When the day is done, there’s one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor to choose from.
Enjoy a glorious day discovering Blacka Moor (5 miles), where you’ll find 181 hectares of breathtaking scenery. Its diverse migrant bird population includes willow warblers, black caps and cuckoos – and it’s quite common to see red deer there too. For a picturesque swim, head to Hathersage Pool (9.5 miles). This heated pool offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and there’s a little cafe there for a post-swim cuppa. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, the local village has some lovely country pubs.
