Retaining many original features including exposed beams and a traditional wood burner set in an impressive brick fireplace, the cottage is set within 26 acres of private land, with miles of tranquil footpaths, bridleways and cycle trails to follow.
The bright and fresh kitchen/diner provides a fantastic space for you to cook and enjoy your favourite meals. A step leads you into the welcoming lounge, an ideal space to relax in at the end of the day, complete with TV, wood burner and sofa bed. Stairs lead directly from the lounge up into the galleried bedroom which features a double bed and high sloping ceilings, along with a light, elegant en-suite bathroom complete with roll-top bath and separate shower. Stepping outside, the back garden has a private seating area with delightful views, an ideal spot for al fresco drinks on a summer’s evening. There’s also a field nearby that’s great for dog walking. Off-road parking is available for two cars.
This is a wonderful base for eager walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, with some wonderful countryside to explore in every direction. The popular Peak Wildlife Park is just half a mile away, home to lemurs, meerkats and penguins. Heading into the Peak District National Park, you can explore Thor’s Cave (7.5 miles), Pilsbury Castle (12 miles), Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Country Park (16 miles). Other local attractions include Alton Towers (5 miles) and Biddulph Grange Country Park (15 miles).
