This detached bungalow nestles on a hillside location above the village close to the neighbouring canal and woodland backdrop but at the same time enjoying some lovely views across the valley towards Crich.  Please note the canal at Sawmills is currently dry as it is under going restoration.

Set in its own spacious grounds the bungalow all one level but accessed from some external steps has recently been considerably improved throughout to provide very comfortable accommodation.

You enter the property from steps into the newly fitted kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay. A door to the rear goes to the hall off which are the remaining rooms the two bedrooms one with a double bed the second having two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over toilet and hand basin. The lounge dining room is a very good size with gas coal effect fire, taking in patio garden views and beyond.

The cottage is lovely and clean. It is well stocked with towels, paper towels, loo rolls and pot towels. Very unusual for a holiday let. The owners have clearly put in a lot of thought to make it a great place to stay. Its well situated for long walks, Sainsbury's and Tesco close by. Comfy beds and plenty of space.

So clean and comfy! The cottage is beautifully presented and the owners have thought of everything that one could possibly need. The area is full to the brim with interesting things to do and see. Lovely cottage, well equipped, clean and welcoming. If anyone looking for a bungalow for someone with limited mobility you might want to give this one a miss though. The steps are steep and not easy. Difficult to charge mobility scooter , parking is a distance from the car and placing it close to bungalow for charging is not an option due to steps.Read more Other reviews have mentioned car turning issues, I have a Peugeot Rifter: needed a bit of maneuvering but perfectly possible. Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, in a quiet location. The owners have considered everything, and there was everything we needed. Although access is a little tight, we had no problem getting our 7 seater car in and out, and turning around. We would definitely book this cottage again if holidaying in Derbyshire.

A wonderful holiday in a great location. Very clean and well equipped. Perfect for a doing nothing holiday. Yes the parking is a bit tight but we managed ok. Set off the main road so nice and quiet. We had nice weather so appreciated the lovely garden.

The cottage was fine but the parking was an issue as you had to do several three point turns to get out.
