A number of stone steps lead up to this welcoming property which features a tastefully decorated lounge with a Smart TV, plenty of seating and far-reaching views from large windows. The airy and spacious kitchen/diner has a wide range of equipment, perfect for rustling up your favourite dishes which you can enjoy around the central dining table. Along with the refreshing bathroom, two bright and cosy bedrooms can be found on the first floor: one with a king-size bed and the other, a super-king-size bed. The remaining bedrooms – a twin and a single (for alternative sleeping only) – are on the second floor. These rooms feature low, sloping ceilings. Stepping outside, the front garden has a charming seating area which is perfect for dining alfresco and taking in the rural vistas. The back patio also has some outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
Holmfirth is just half a mile down the hill from the cottage and offers a fabulous variety of cheerful shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as a vineyard and the popular Picturedrome Cinema. Famous as the location of TV’s Last of the Summer Wine, the town has an exhibition about the classic sitcom. Just a couple of miles from the edge of the Peak District, Holmfirth provides miles of magnificent walks and bike trails, including the Kirklees Way.
