Stepping into the spacious entrance hall, kick off your muddy boots and you’ll feel immediately at home. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is huge, with an abundance of space to socialise Natural light floods in through the surrounding large glass windows, which offer a peek at the incredible rolling hills beyond the property. Step outside to see it in all its glory, breathing in that fresh country air as you enjoy a BBQ in the large patio courtyard. The adjacent grass field is the perfect spot for outdoor games, as well as dog walking, while there’s also a games room with pool table on-site, shared with the other properties within the complex.

Set on the fringes of the classic White Peak village of Chelmorton, here the striking Peak District lies ready and waiting for you and your party to explore. Get your adrenaline fix at Poole’s Cavern, a 4.5-mile drive from the cottage, as you journey beneath the earth and explore the vast limestone caverns. Above ground, enjoy a high wire treetop adventure, or take it a little slower with a gentle stroll around the country park’s woodlands. No visit to the area is complete without taking the 9-mile trip to Bakewell to sample one of their famous tarts - the perfect holiday treat.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Caxterway is a beautiful spacious house.Our three year old granddaughter wanted us all to live there.We were a family group of 10 six adults and four children.Our three grandsons loved riding their bikes and using the snooker table.The house is so well equipped and immaculately clean.All the fixtures and furniture are top quality.We love the place.Read moreWe went to Buxton,the Monsall trail and to Christmas at Chatsworth.The weather was great,early morning frost and fog followed by glorious sunshine. this was a lovely place with loads of space and a fully equipped kitchen - which made it perfect for a family gathering and for large family meals. we appreciated that we were allowed to take dogs and a small enclosed paddock was fantastic for allowing them to run - but the outdoor space is either shared or completely open (and no gates giving protRead moreection from the road) This would have been a problem in good weather if we had wanted to open doors. A lovely cottage in a great location with easy access to other parts of the Peak District.

The cottage was the perfect size for all the family. It was spotlessly clean and you could walk from the cottage and the pub. Alison was very helpful with information regarding shops etc.

Disappointed at the weekly cost, and having to put up with obviously cheap mattresses, and nowhere for the grandchildren to play other than in our car park, not child friendly at all! Very clever photography and facility wording.
