Positioned on the Western fringe of the Peak National Park, the cottage offers guests an idyllic location for exploring the landscape on foot, or relaxing in the peaceful garden and taking in the rural surrounds.

The detached property is set in the grounds of the owners' property and is located in a quiet and peaceful valley.

This is an ideal base for visiting many of the attractions on the western edge of the Peak National Park. There are many excellent local walks not being far from The Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks.

The accommodation enjoys splendid views down the valley it is quite spacious which is apparent as you enter through the small hallway into the kitchen/dining area. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with electric shower and a separate cloakroom with toilet and hand basin. The stairs lead to the lounge which takes in the panorama of the surrounding area as do the bedrooms. The bedrooms are both of a good size each with their own hand basins one with a double bed the second with two single beds. There is a second bathroom on this floor with a bath hand basin and toilet. There is a patio and garden sitting out area from where you can enjoy the surrounding valley views. Pets welcome.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners, who were very friendly and welcoming. They were informative about the local area and recommended some places to visit. We were surprised with homemade bread, jams and eggs from their hens, which was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage was absolutely beautiful with the most magnificent views. Lovely cottage in a lovely remote setting with plenty of walks nearby and also a wide choice of local pubs should you wish to eat out although, the kitchen facilities are great, everything has been thought of for you. Had a splendid 4 night stay, couldn't have asked for more from the accommodation, fabulous scenery from the cottage, friendly owners. Really nice touch to have fresh eggs and home baked bread, kitchen was so well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable throughout. You literally just have to bring yourselves. We stayed here for a week with our dog &it was all we wanted! The cottage is very nicely decorated, and VERY clean when we arrived. Suzanne is lovely and welcoming, we had a lovely warm loaf of delicious bread along with some homemade jams made for us as well as eggs from her hens which were great company! An outstanding cottage in a great location with stunning views. I slept better in the bed then I ever have on holiday. The added extras of free range eggs, and homemade preserves was so thoughtful. A wonderful little cottage which is cosy and comfortable. The setting is so quiet and peaceful with a footpath leading down to a great pub. We will definitely be staying again.

Lovely stay at the cottage, very clean and warm, everything is provided even fresh bread and eggs from the hens on site, beautiful surroundings with lots of farm animals in the surrounding fields, great for walkers and ramblers, highly recommended any time of the year.

The cottage was well equiped, cosy and very comfortable with beautiful views and walks on the doorstep.. The hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful both before and during our stay. We loved staying here and hope to return in the future.

We had a fabulous week in spite of the weather. The location is ideal for the Western Peak District. The owners are very welcoming and obviously care about your stay and the cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. When we decide to stay in this part of the Peak District again this will be our first choice if available.

We had a fantastic week, on arrival we had fresh eggs and bread which were lovely, and a bottle of red. There isnt anything the owners havent thought of, the cottage had everything you could ever need. The bed was extremely comfy, and everything was to a high standard. Cloughbrook cottage is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. It is extremely well equipped and in a good location for lovely walks with our two dogs and also close to Buxton and other towns such as leek and Bakewell. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely book again if we returned to the Peak District.

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at Clough Brook cottage. The cottage had everything we needed plus lots of extras that were unexpected. We enjoyed some lovely local walks as well as venturing further a field. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. When the weather allowed we sat out and admired the view including the sheep iRead moren the adjoining field. loved that we were unable to get a phone signal at the cottage and were able to totally unwind. This barn conversion is lovely with excellent amenities and features, set amongst beautiful scenic countryside. Owners very friendly. However, not sure it should be classed as dog friendly. Manual states dogs should be kept downstairs in kitchen only when lounge is upstairs, not ideal, plus garden is not secure so had to put lead on every time theyRead more went outside. Superb cottage, friendly welcome and glorious countryside. The only way to enhance the total experience would be to have a (small) completely enclosed area to go with it. We would love to return some day.
