Lovely stay. The cottage is in a good position in the village for pubs/eateries and walks by the river. Very comfortable. Sofas and beds were comfortable which isnt always the case! Will hopefully go back again.

Brilliant location for many popular walks! Very cosy cottage with a really friendly, helpful owner:) We booked VERY last minute after having to cancel a holiday abroad and even still the owner done everything they could to enable us to have a great stay, which we can happily say we did.

Nice cottage, needs a bit of a spruce up in places, and no real garden for dogs which is a shame but in a prime location and lovely village and good pubs. We would stay there again if I didnt have a dog.

Few initial problems with the key safe. Cottage cosy and we'll equipped. Mattress on bed very hard. Great location and loads to do. The outside space is shared and not suitable to sit out but ok to let the dog out if you check gate is closed. The village has great pubs, shop and bakery and great walks from the doorstep. Very beautiful setting.

The main issue with Coniston Cottage was a lack of comfort. The double bed is wooden framed with only a very thin mattress reminiscent of a camp bed. Consequently it was difficult to get a decent nights sleep as the wooden slats could be felt through the mattress. I resorted to sleeping on the sofa bed as I was experiencing hip pain. There are two Read moresofas but both are low and uncomfortable. If some investment is made to address these issues then Coniston Cottage would be a good place to visit. Hide
