From the damp waft as you open the front door, noting the electric socket hanging from the wall and lack of privacy as all blinds have been removed, youre in for a treat. A comfortable cottage in an excellent location. We enjoyed walking directly from the front door, as well as exploring a bit further afield, and the cottage was always warm and welcoming to come back to.

Property really needs updating, especially the damp issue. Great location for the village. Pubs welcoming and dog friendly. Breakfast at the YHA a must, also dog friendly.

The cottage is ideally located within the Peak District, with great walks nearby and a good selection of dog friendly pubs in the village serving good food. We really enjoyed our stay over half term. It's a charming little cottage and the owner made a huge effort to make us feel welcome (including supplying towels and treats for the dog). A lovely cottage set in the heart of the Peak District. We booked with two dogs and the cottage was perfect, we had plenty of walking to do direct from the door as well as being close enough to be able to visit other areas of the Peak District easily.

Lovely stay. The cottage is in a good position in the village for pubs/eateries and walks by the river. Very comfortable. Sofas and beds were comfortable which isnt always the case! Will hopefully go back again.
