The Huddersfield Narrow Canal, which passes through the estate, is the highest stretch of canal in the country and the towpath provides a wonderful place for an afternoon stroll, with picturesque picnic spots dotted along the way. Fans of the TV series Last of the Summer Wine will enjoy a trip to Holmfirth (4.5 miles), where you can visit many of the famous filming locations.
