The cottage is lovely. The road running passed is very busy but not a problem. A nice enclosed garden at the back is very pleasant and useful if you have dogs.

Comfortable cottage, well equipped, nice courtyard that is secure (important if you have a dog!). Parking just along the road by the river which is also a good place to walk the dog. Although on a main road it is not that busy and is quiet at night. The cottage is in a perfect place for exploring the local area - Chatsworth estate is nearby, MatlocRead morek and Matlock Bath for an inland seaside experience, and several good walks a short drive away in the low and high peaks (Dove Dale is a favourite). We loved our stay, perfect location to be (not far from main beauty spots) Parking was never an issue, only a short walk down the street, 2 pubs near by. House is well equipped and perfect if you travel with your fur friend. Thank you and we will be back again.

Comfortable cottage with steep but manageable stairs. On a busy road but parking available close by. Courtyard garden was pleasant to sit in and a lovely sun trap.

A beautiful cottage in a very pretty part of the country. The owner had put much thought into furnishings. We loved the patio area to the back of the property which seemed to get the sun all day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Three Stags Head which is 2 minutes walk from the cottage. I was slightly disappoinRead moreted in the cleaner's attention to detail considering the deep clean necessary during Covid but I have to say this didn't spoil our stay. Hide

This was a great cottage in a good location that met our needs and expectations. Well presented, good size, comfortable, suitable for our two dogs. A small challenge was its not ideal for parking your car outside to load and unload although there are good spaces nearby.
