A wonderful, cosy property to escape to in an ideal, peaceful location. It is rural and remote and perfect for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy a country break. The converted barn is characterful, well equipped and with a very comfortable bed and sofas. Theres plenty to see within a short drive from Chatsworth to Bakewell and AshbouRead morerne, and of course great walking in the white peaks and not too far up to Edale and the dark peaks either. Just lovely. Hide

The cottage and area where really lovely. It may be a little difficult for the infirm to manage the 5 bar gates. The furniture was very comfortable and good quality.

This cottage really is out in the middle of the country surrounded by herds of sheep. It is a tranquil setting. Chatsworth & the pretty town of Bakewell are within a half hour drive. The cottage itself is well equipped to self cater with a lovely patio overlooking a high peak. The beds & sofa are very comfortable, the caretaker very helpful. PlentyRead more of country walks in the area, but do respect the sheep. If using GPS, do also read the helpful emailed directions . We loved our stay! Hide

Cottage very cosy with great views and walks from the door. Perfect location for retreat. We came in big snow and the place was warm and welcoming, owners showed concern for our well being and gave great directions.
