This glorious Grade II listed farmhouse is tucked away in the Peak District countryside offering ultimate seclusion. A real feeling of country living with traditional Aga, wood burner and open fire.

Within walking distance of many popular Peak District attractions, this beautiful property is the perfect choice for those wanting a secluded getaway without being too far from amenities. Chatsworth House and Gardens are close by, so you can experience that culture hit in glorious surroundings, whilst Haddon Hall is also a much-loved destination for tourists to explore. For some truly local produce, don't miss Chatsworth's Farm Shop in nearby Pilsley, where you can find an abundance of meat, fish, fresh fruit and vegetables and other store cupboard essentials to fill your cottage or take back after the holiday! The idyllic Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Buxton are on your doorstep, so be sure to make the most of these picturesque towns.

As you enter this stunning farmhouse, the first room you will find is the elegant dining room, which features seating for up to 18 people and an eye-catching open fire making the perfect space for entertaining and celebrating. Through to the spacious kitchen, there is an electric AGA, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, plus an extra table and chairs to seat six people. Just off the kitchen there is a utility room with an additional fridge/freezer, a washing machine, and access to the downstairs shower room with WC. The lounge in the former applestore is light and airy with plenty of comfortable seating for up to ten people, plus there is a handy electric fire and a TV/DVD. The conservatory is perfect for that bit of extra space, benefiting from striking, picturesque views across the countryside with doors out onto the patio. On the ground floor, you will find two of the bedrooms: one with a king size bed and warming wood burner and the other features a four poster bed. Upstairs are the other five bedrooms: there is another four-poster king-size bed, one double bed with en-suite bathroom comprising of shower over bath and WC, one twin bedroom, and two further rooms with king-size beds, both which also have two additional single beds. There are two shower rooms with a WC in each.

Outside you will find a bubbling hot tub and pretty patio and garden laid to lawn, plus furniture for al fresco dining with a view, 15 acres of shared ground, and ample off-road parking.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

For a large family holiday in the UK I don't think we could have found a more perfect place. The hot tub with a view was just the icing on the cake. The main living space with kitchen, dining table and seating alongside creates the perfect atmosphere for family and friends to socialise. The rooms are comfortable all with ensuite bathroom and storagRead moree space. We were warmly welcomed by the owners when we arrived. Thank you for a great stay. Hide

The house was beautiful and set in idyllic surroundings. Plenty of common space for my whole group and lots of good walking within easy travelling distance. The drive down the very narrow lane lined with stone walls was a bit treacherous, though!
