The house was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The owner was at the end of the phone to sort any problems we had and also to give recommendations. We had a really special family break away with time at Chatsworth, walking the Peak District, visiting Bakewell, Matlock, Buxton and the Heights of Abraham. A trulyRead more lovely property. Hide

A wonderful large house, very clean and comfortable and really well located for day trips. Its set back off the road (so traffic isnt a nuisance). Beds are very comfortable and great powerful showers. Superbly equipped kitchen too. We had a great stay, thank you!

We were a family of our (with adult children) staying in this beautifully decorated house on the edge of the Peak District, within easy reach of Chatsworth, Matlock, Bakewell and other lovely villages. In the heart of the Peak District with spectacular scenery all around. The #1 negative was its location (which surprisingly none of the reviews mentioned): the house is located on the A6 between Derby and Manchester. Always constant traffic day and night, which meant sleep was often disturbed. A great disappointment.

A wonderful house in a brilliant central location. You'll need a car for everything but do not be put off being near the A6 as whilst you can hear the road, I'm a very light sleeper and it never woke me once.
