Property code: 82194

This peacefully tucked away apartment is simply perfect for couples wanting to get away and enjoy the scenery surrounding the Holme Valley and the Peak District.

Enjoy a romantic getaway in this gorgeous apartment in the heart of the Holme Valley. The property is on the edge of the Peak District National Park, providing you with endless choices for walking and outdoor pursuits. Just 3 miles away is the rugged expanse of Marsden Moor National Trust, or head into the park for stunning scenery along the Longdendale Trail (14 miles). Slightly further afield you’ll find the gorgeous Ladybower Reservoir (29 miles), which is surrounded by a network of stunning walking and cycling routes.

The apartment is located on the first floor, next to the owner’s pub, and is accessed via a shared entrance and stairs. Once inside, discover a beautifully decorated open-plan area. Neutral tones create a calm atmosphere, with accents of green bringing character and style. The apartment is bright and airy and boasts magnificent countryside views. Rustle up a romantic dinner for two in the cleverly designed kitchen area, before snuggling up on the comfortable sofa to enjoy a film on the Smart TV. At the end of the day, sip a sundowner in the pub garden before retiring to the pretty bedroom, which has magnificent moorland views.

The nearby village of Marsden (3 miles) has a rich industrial heritage and is well worth exploring. Today, the village houses a great selection of independent eateries, as well as traditional inns serving country ales. The Huddersfield Narrow Canal passes through the village and has a beautiful towpath to wander along. From the village you can also access Marsden Moor National Trust for exhilarating walking opportunities. Ladybower Reservoir makes a lovely day out. Pack a picnic and find a pretty spot by the water’s edge, before climbing high above the reservoir to admire the scenery from one of the many viewpoints.

Compact but ideal for us as a couple (plus dog) for a short break while visiting relatives. On a busy road but compensated by the stunning views from the rear of the property - without any intrusive road noise. Spotlessly clean and well presented. Be aware that the attached pub doesnt serve food, but is brilliant as a real social hub with great beeRead morers. All in all - excellent. Hide

Extremely highly recommended as a good base to visit the surrounding area. Very clean with everything you require from an apartment. The views are amazing, the pub keeps a very good selection of ales which are all of good quality. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Absolutely stunning little apartment. Perfect little getaway for myself and my mum. Right next to everything you could possibly want but just far enough out of the way to mean that you dont get irritated by too much sound from outside. 100% will return. Staff were so lovely and we truly cannot fault our stay in any way.

5 stars all round, the space is small but perfectly formed. We had a lovely long weekend break, dog in toe, the accommodation was spotless and comfortable, the location is great as there are walks, a few pubs and food shop near by so you don't always need to use the car. The pub downstairs is great with a big outdoor seating area - note they don't Read moreserve food. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return! Hide
