A detached stone barn nestled amidst 1.5 acres of green fields, this property is situated in an enchanting position with breathtaking views across the Derwent Valley and country houses beyond.

Positioned on a hillside, the barn more than lives up to its name boasting spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape. Guests can explore the countryside on foot along the various routes that lead from the doorstep. Within a short drive from the property, guests will find themselves at the gate of Chatsworth House parklands and Haddon Hall. For an afternoon of exploring, the pretty market town of Bakewell on the River Wye is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

A split level hallway divides the property. Downstairs the bright lounge benefits from double doors that lead out onto a pretty patio area and garden. A spacious kitchen-diner with granite worktops and hand built oak units is equipped with all the necessities. There is also a cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin, perfect for muddy boots and scrubbing up after a long countryside walk.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The main bedroom with vaulted ceilings and breathtaking views across the countryside, consists of a super king size bed which can be separated to two single beds if required. There are three other bedrooms, one of which features king post roof truss and two single beds which can also be joined together to make a king size bed. Another double bedroom and family bathroom are found on this floor with bath, shower toilet and hand basin.

A fourth bedroom which is downstairs near the entrance to the barn has a double bed and an en-suite shower room with a toilet and hand basin.

Outside enjoy the patio with garden furniture and enclosed garden with spectacular views stretching for miles.

A beautiful place to stay. The views from the property were amazing and it was very peaceful. The house was big enough for 8 adults and very well equipped throughout.

Cannot rave enough about this property! Amazing location with the most incredible views over the Derbyshire countryside. The house is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need. Also a few lovely walks from the house, and only a short drive into Matlock. Highly recommend this property!

This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. Everything was great, and the owner was incredibly helpful, making sure we had the right set up. Fantastic waterfall walk from the door, and access to wonderful countryside and towns on the doorstep. We had a brilliant family weekend and we'd definitely go back!

We found this cottage ideal for an extended family group as the communal areas are spacious and comfortable with a great view over the valley. Everything was provided. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. We had a great time.

Derwent View has a perfect layout for a get together with two of the four bedrooms having en-suites, as well as a large main bathroom. The barn is in a stunning location. The view is incredible and worth every penny. Everything you could need is available. The house is warm and clean. The property managers are responsive to problems. Lovely walks nearby and a short drive to Bakewell, Chatsworth etc. Dog enjoyed the enclosed garden. The cottage was perfect for our party of 8. Close enough to all amenities and perfect for Chatsworth, Bakewell and Matlock. Well equipped, warm and comfortable and a perfect layout for socialising. Wouldnt hesitate to return.

Derwent View is a lovely house with a fantastic view and some great walks close by. We stayed here for a family celebration and all three generations really enjoyed it. This converted barn is very well equipped and suited 6 adults and 3 children perfectly. We had a fantastic week away. There is so much to do a short drive or walk away from this cottage it is an ideal place to stay for a Peak District holiday. A really lovely barn, plenty of space for a large group. The paddock next to the cottage was great for exercising the dogs. Great walks from the doorstep. Its well equipped apart from no clothes drying facility which is a necessity when you have a large group and the British weather is unpredictable

We stayed in the barn from 4th June 2021, it was perfect for family . We had three children until 3, the barn was child friendly . It really was home from home. What a great place for a really good break. Plenty of rooms and space, all the equipment you can need, fantastic views across the valley, very helpful owners (they even allowed us to hire a hot tub for the patio). The parking is a bit steep, but any serviceable vehicle should have no problems - it's the Peak District, if you didn't expect a steep sRead morelope or 2 you might of missed the point of being there. The cottage was clean, some cobwebs around and a bit dusty in places. Good equipment supplied in the cottage lots of good quality china and kitchen equipment. Th remote control for living room television - the volume button is not working. The television in the dining room/kitchen was not tuned in. Lovely hillside location with great valley view. Dogs loved it with plenty of dog walking routes. 4 bedrooms sleeps 9 if extra bed in is in main bedroom. No dogs upstairs.

We had an amazing stay at Derwent View. The house is in an idyllic position with views of the surrounding hills. Just behind the house, a short walk away, lies lagoons and a waterfall perfect to cool off in after a hard day of walking. Owners are helpful and any problems are sorted out that day.
